KUNM-FM is proud to announce the beginning of YOUTH RADIO.  Our first official broadcast is scheduled for September 4, 2005 at 7:00 pm MST.  We are in the process of recruiting a diverse group of youth to join the current group of KUNM- FM Youth Programmers.

Requirements and Qualifications:

·         Age 13-18

·         At least 8 hours of time available per week

·         Interest in serving the community

·         Interest in youth Radio programming

·         Interest in being challenged and learning new skills and meeting new people

·         Great attitude

There are many volunteer positions available for youth of all interests.  The roles you have the opportunity to be involved in include production (planning and organizing live broadcasts), engineering (running a control board during the live broadcast), music director (choosing music for broadcasts), dj/live hosting and news reporting.  No experience is necessary to be involved in this collective.  However, we do require you to commit your time and enthusiasm.

All participants should be within the ages of 13-18.  Legal minors will need parental or guardian consent to participate. Youth will be expected to commit to approximately 8 hours a week including live broadcasts, weekly meetings and intensive training.  This is an exciting opportunity for you to learn the ins and outs of broadcast radio.
